Fish Frys

Calling All Fish
Bass Bay on Big Muskego Lake, Waukesha County
Submitted by John Wozney & Pat Myers

An unassuming shanty — the most notable amenities include Styrofoam insulation and a 2-burner cook stove -- the owners’ story, er, plunged his shack into contention.

“One day while jigging in the shanty, friend Ron bent over and his cell phone fell out of his pocket and sunk to the bottom of the lake. Another person with an Aqua Vu came over and we found it on camera with fish around it. So I dialed his number and it rang and the fish scattered. No way of recovering cell phone.”

The fish knew better than to answer that damn phone. Smart fish on Big Muskego. Here’s hoping they’re not using up all your free minutes.

Like the TV & stove. It’s hard to get a feel for the exterior - it’s an OK shanty, though.

Now you’ll be able to answer the question: When a cell phone rings on the bottom of a lake, does anyone hear it?

McCann
First of all, just as golf courses should be ring-free zones, no fisherman should be out on the ice with a cell phone. BUT, the fact that these guys called up the fish swimming around the sunken phone is a picture I can't get out of my head. They could use that one in a commercial. Hey, carp, can you hear me now?

Misako Rocks
Home sweet home looking.
