Think you have the best shack in Shanty Town? An ice-fishing abode that makes your neighbors green and gold with envy? A winter perch palace fit for fisher king?
Classic Wisconsin, your entertaining online guide to travel, history, and culture in the Badger State, is accepting nominations for the top ice-fishing shanties in the state.
Shanties will be judged on history, appearance, and amenities. Applicants can also share memorable events, fish stories and other anecdotes about their shack (fiction and non-fiction accepted).
Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of distinguished judges
and the top shanties announced January 2005. Winners will have their shanty photo published on Classic Wisconsin, and better yet, receive bragging rights for the year.
Application deadline is December 31, 2004.
Please include a non-returnable photo of your shanty. Photos may be used for publication.
